About
Soffed – the people – count between them more than 40 years’ experience in Further and Higher Education.
Soffed – the company – emerged from the ashes of the old JISC Regional Support Centre Scotland North & East (which lost its funding in July 2011), and positions itself at the place where education and good technology meet.

Though this aim is still top priority, all colleges, universities, and schools now expect technology to be able to deliver tangible cost-savings as well as convenience and choice. In the current economic climate, ‘invest to save’ is the most frequently heard mantra.
With a solid track record of helping institutions save money (through initiatives that include the popular EduApps collections of freeware and open source software), ‘taking the Soffed option’ can mean achieving your e-learning ambitions in an effective but affordable way.
